Planning guide
Build a guest list without losing your mind
Start with households, not individual names. Give every household one decision-maker, then list partners, children, and allowed plus-ones beneath it. This prevents duplicate invitations and makes party-size limits explicit.
Use three passes
- List immediate family and essential friends without considering capacity.
- Add wider family, colleagues, and community groups in priority order.
- Compare the total party size—not just invitation count—with venue capacity.
Track email, household size, plus-one allowance, dietary needs, and response status in one place. Review uncertain names together before sending anything.
