Planning guide

Build a guest list without losing your mind

Start with households, not individual names. Give every household one decision-maker, then list partners, children, and allowed plus-ones beneath it. This prevents duplicate invitations and makes party-size limits explicit.

Use three passes

  1. List immediate family and essential friends without considering capacity.
  2. Add wider family, colleagues, and community groups in priority order.
  3. Compare the total party size—not just invitation count—with venue capacity.

Track email, household size, plus-one allowance, dietary needs, and response status in one place. Review uncertain names together before sending anything.
